Happy Humph-Day everyone! I’ve been a little quiet on here for the last few days as I had to make a mad dash to visit family in the North of the UK before we head into lockdown round two!
If you have ordered from us in the last 48 hours (firstly a massive Thank you) but just to let you know your order will be dispatched tomorrow as soon as we are back in the studio.
During lockdown #2 we will add our Click & Collect option to our store again so if you do live close enough you will still be able to collect your orders throughout contactless collection service but this will be by appointment only and we won’t be able to allow anyone to browse (which makes me super sad!) but you can order and we will ensure your order is all ready for you.
If you don’t live close by, never fear we can ship worldwide 🌍 and new items are being added every day to our site so make sure you check out our shop 🛍
Please continue to support small businesses if you can, no matter their industry they need us now more than ever and remember we all do a little happy dance every time we receive an order and are super grateful! Let’s keep our spirits up through the coming weeks and simply eat cake 🧁
Today is our last day open until the beginning of December..(as far as we know and hope!!) We have all be working extra hours to try and cover the clients who will be affected.
We are still ringing clients to sort the December end, please if you haven’t heard from us ring and leave a message if we don’t answer!
Also as before the salon phone is diverted to Lydia’s mobile phone so please feel free to ring at any point to sort a December appointment or any questions!
Always happy to help!
Keep safe xxx
W C MAUNDERS will be trading as normal, unless we are told otherwise, during this next lockdown period.
We WILL be allowing customers into the shop, but will be monitoring customer levels to make sure we stay within the stated guidelines.
Please continue to observe social distancing rules and please wear a mask.
We would ask you please to ring through orders for wood & glass cutting and we will contact you when you order is ready.
We look forward to continuing to serve the community.
Stay safe

Wedmore Village Hall

Image may contain: text that says "WE ARE OPEN!"

We are delighted to announce that we will be re-opening the Hall on 13th July having taken steps to make the Hall COVID-19 secure. We have conducted a Risk Assessment of the Hall and will require all users, including regular users, to conduct their own risk assessment of their event using the downloadable Word Template we have provided. We have also updated our Terms & Conditions of Hire to include an Appendix that relates specifically to COVID-19 which Hall users must-read.

At this stage, only certain types of usage are allowed by the government. The following list is indicative of what is allowed – and note that exercise classes of any sort are not yet allowed indoors, nor is any type of performance:

Activities held indoors where smaller numbers of people attend, e.g. seated activities and meetings held in the Main Hall such as art classes.

Small events providing catering, e.g. coffee mornings, or luncheon clubs, where seating may be out of doors and/or well-spaced.

Public meetings and public consultation events, e.g. planning. A one-way system can be created for exhibitions. For meetings, attendees can be asked to use the furthest seat from the entrance first unless hard of hearing and handouts provided at the end rather than at the beginning.

Other larger events including those with seated audiences, e.g. film show, bingo, quiz night. Attendees should be asked to use the furthest seats from the entrance first unless hard of hearing. A booking system must manage numbers and obtain contact details for NHS Track and Trace.

Wedding receptions and wakes – weddings and similar life cycle events are permitted where attended by up to 30 persons. Recorded music is recommended. A musician may play a non-wind instrument. Any receptions should be limited to this number to avoid mass gatherings.
