At a date to be agreed with the land owner between 24th June and 19th July, the main site compound for the scheme will be set up in the field immediately west of Church Lane. When we know the exact date, we will write to properties close to the compound location advising them about our works.

Week commencing 22nd July – Works to replace the existing water main in Church Lane at the western end of the village will begin with traffic lights being set up initially at the Church Lane/Poolbridge Road junction so that we can make a connection to the existing water main. Once this connection has been made, works will then move into Church Lane itself. It will be necessary to lay out temporary pipes above ground to keep supplies running whilst we replace the existing main and we’ll write to all properties directly affected by the works to let them know exactly what we will be doing nearer the time. Works in Church Lane should take approximately two weeks to complete.

Works to trap and relocate any Great Crested Newts within our working area in the fields to the east of Stoughton Road will also start this week.

Week commencing 5th August – Works to replace the existing water main in Old Farm Court will begin with traffic lights being set up initially at the Old Farm Court/High Street junction so that we can make a connection to the existing main. As with Church Lane, works will then move into Old Farm Court and we’ll run out temporary overland supplies in exactly the same way and works should again, take approximately two weeks to complete.

Week commencing 19th August – The closure of Stoughton Road, Eastfield Road, High Street and Church Road will come into affect as per my previous e-mail to allow us to replace the existing water main in these roads.

Mid September – Works to install the new water main in the fields to the east of Stoughton Road will begin.

Week commencing 25th November (or hopefully earlier if we can complete our works in the village quicker than planned) – Works to replace the existing water main in Snipefield Lane will begin. It is expected that these works will take two weeks to complete so the scheme should be fully complete in early December.
