Anyone who loves Christmas will want to add this date to their diary as Christmas will officially start in Wedmore with the delightful evening of Wedmore by Lamplight. All the traditional favourites will be here, starting with the St. Mary’s Church crib service at 6 pm. The wonderful Wedmore shops and businesses will be open for the evening from 6 pm to 9 pm offering a multitude of delights and the centre of Wedmore will be alive with traditional merriment of pig roasts and mulled wine!
All whilst Burtle Band play traditional carols and a host of evening entertainment will surely get us all full of festive spirit! Father Christmas has agreed to come all the way from Lapland despite his busy schedule and we trust that you will encourage your friends and family to bring multitudes of children to invade his grotto! Wedmore is always a beautiful village but it looks that bit more special on this 11th December 2019 lovely village evening, which provides a delightful opportunity for all your family and friends to combine the traditions and fun of Christmas with some Christmas shopping!
