Parish Council elections are due to be held on that day as well. All Councillors wishing to stand for another five years must register with Sedgemoor District Council by 7th April at the very latest.
This also applies to any resident wishing to stand as a Parish Councillor.
Application forms can be downloaded from the Sedgemoor website and must be hand delivered back to their offices in Bridgwater. If more than 16 candidates apply then an election will take place. Otherwise, all Councillors will be accepted uncontested.
