The AGM “Pisces Challenge” skittles:
Dean’s splendid fruit and veg box was won by Wedmore’s naughtiest boy who does not eat his greens (David Banwell). He donated the hamper to Weston Hospicecare! See the photo attached of Lisa Neill delivering the box to the Hospice kitchen.
It was a good evening all round – brief but informative AGM, fun skittles and well done New Inn landlord Alex for excellent fish and chips
Accounts & Projects:
With lots of members, fruitful events and kind donations there is a very positive balance in the accounts (£21,427.00 at 31st December) – this despite purchasing new benches for the churchyard, refurbishing the doorway lamps and contributions towards interior lighting
On the other hand ….. purchase of projection equipment to enhance future events, contributions to works to the window protective grilles, to stonework and to the down pipes will make a dent. Other projects to buy a new St George’s flag, refurbish the Tucker Cole memorial stone and help the ringers with work to the bell mechanisms will also reduce the balance.
Future Events:
– Street Fair one armed bandit on 4th July
– The Wedmore 40/30 on 5th July (300/350 riders expected this year
– August Bank Holiday 31st August Tower Tours day
– The Clash of the Choirs on 10th Oct
