Important News from the Wedmore Parish Council – October 2023

Parish Council Business

Hello, me again!

Well, what can I say, September, you have flown by. The children are back at school and for me personally, it always renews my enthusiasm for the latter part of the year. I enjoy making lists and setting targets, so for me, September and October are thoroughly enjoyable with the Parish Council.

Budget making and reviewing priorities allow the Parish Council to strive to do the best they can for you with the resources available. We need to be looking ahead not just to next year, but to 5, 10 and 15 years down the line if our community is to continue to thrive and be as energetic as it is currently. Don’t get me wrong, there is still so much that can be done, and we all need to play our role in it. Many of you, of course, are already heavily involved with various aspects of ‘village life’ and it’s always so wonderful chatting with the people I cross paths with, whether they have been here for decades or days.

I’m asking again. What do you want from us? How can we make life better here?

Have you been thinking about a youth project? A green project? An initiative to promote health and wellbeing? We are here and listening. Eleven Councillors do not make up the community, 11 councillors are here to listen, represent, and action your ideas, be the voice for the community!

But first, we need to hear yours. Please speak up!

Speak soon,
Lindsey
