see Website photos (bottom) for Wedmore WW1 Remembers

With a partnership made up of St Mary’s Church, Wedmore First School and Hugh Sexey Church of England Middle School our commemorative event is underway in Wedmore starting 7th November 2018 through to 11th November, marking the 100th Anniversary of the end of the First World War.

Exhibition and associated events are now on display at Wedmore Village Hall between, similar to that held four years ago that attracted over 1800 visitors, to commemorate the part played by local servicemen and the wider community between 1914-18 .

We are actively looking for sponsorship or any financial support at the moment to offset the costs of the exhibition.

The majority of funding is coming from sales of ‘The Isle of Wedmore Remembers the First World War 2014-18’ – copies of which are available from Wedmore Village Stores, the Post Office and the Cottage Gallery.
