Just like in the Advent Calendar you have at home, a different window will be unveiled each day between December 1st and Christmas Eve, except these will be real windows in real homes.
Householders from across the village will be lighting up a new window to all who gather at 6.30 p.m. every day; and each window will then remain illuminated until Twelfth Night 5th January. The aim is just to have fun and create a nice way of bringing the community together. And a Travelling Crib will move between the houses to symbolise the journey of Mary and Joseph to Bethlehem.
To find out more and maybe to register your interest in offering a window come along to St Mary’s church on Thursday 6th September at 6.30 p.m. Cheese and Wine and Soft Drinks will be provided free of charge and the team planning this great new community event will talk in a bit more detail about what is involved.
