The Somerset Choral Society is a choir of around 40 voices (SATB) and is the local Choral Society in this area with members from Cheddar, Axbridge, Wedmore, Winscombe and other villages in the Cheddar Valley and North Somerset.
The Choir rehearses weekly from September to May in the Cheddar RC Community Hall, Tweentown, Cheddar, BS27 3HU every Wednesday evening at 7:30pm, and provides two choral concerts every year, at St John the Baptist Church, Axbridge in November, and at St Cuthbert’s Church, Wells in May.

We are a ceilidh band based in the Wedmore area of north Somerset with our music, song and dance mainly coming from the various traditions of the British Isles as well as some self penned tunes inspired by those traditions.
All are played in a lively contemporary way with our musicians, singers and callers all being experienced professionals
Typical events are: Weddings, birthday parties and anniversaries. Wassails, Harvest Homes and other traditional events. Festivals and concerts. School Barn Dances and Town Twinning's. Corporate Functions. Village and Town ceremonies.

The Wells Cathedral Oratorio Society (WCOS), founded in 1896, performs major works from the choral repertory with some of the country’s leading soloists and orchestral ensembles.
With around 160 voices the society gives three concerts a year under the direction of Matthew Owens, Organist and Master of the Choristers at the Cathedral.
