Somerset Choral Society is pleased to announce it will recommence Communal Rehearsals and activities in September in preparation for a concert in Axbridge Church on Saturday 27th November.
Their term will begin with a “Come and Sing Vivaldi Gloria” on Saturday 4th September in Cheddar Catholic Church Tweentown, BS27 3HU. starting at 10:00 am and lasting to 2:30 pm. Registration will be at 10:00 am and rehearsing will be from 10:30 to 12:00 noon and a second session from 1:00 pm to 2:30 pm ending with a short performance of the work. All Singers will be welcomed; the fee will be £10-00 for the day and will include the provision of a score although singers are encouraged to bring their own scores if they have one. The first formal rehearsal of the Autumn Term will be on Wednesday 8th September at 7:30 pm again in Cheddar Catholic Church Tweentown BS27 3HU and thereafter every Wednesday evening between 7:30 pm and 9:30 pm. Once “the new Catholic Church Community Hall” is completed and open, rehearsals will transfer to the new Hall. The music this term will be “The Vivaldi Gloria” and “The Pergolesi Magnificat” in preparation for the Autumn Concert in Axbridge Church on Saturday 27th November at 7:30 pm. Membership fees will remain at £55-00 for the term and will include one ticket for the concert.”
