The car park at Blackford Village Hall and the lane leading to it have now been resurfaced thanks to the fundraising efforts of the Blackford Village Hall Committee, and a new gate post was the finishing touch.
The Committee, under the chairmanship of Steve Bloomer, has worked very hard to raise the funds for the work over the past couple of years. It was recently completed and local company Somerlap Forest Products generously donated the fence post, which was installed free of charge by Jon Bethell.
The hall is in constant use, with Fitness classes ranging from Dance and Circuits to Yoga; along with social events; and even its own monthly Café. It can be booked by contacting Margaret Tinney on 01934 712324.
