Wedmore Theatre

Since its conception in 1978, Wedmore Theatre has become a cornerstone of the local community. Twice a year this talented ensemble produces a diverse range of performances, from classic plays and pantomimes to contemporary dramas and original works.
We are a welcoming and inclusive volunteer-driven group, drawing on the skills of our experienced members to nurture new talent both on and off the stage.
Whatever your age or experience, there are a number of ways to get involved. Whether you fancy treading the boards or hate the limelight, we are sure to have a role for you. It takes a big team to pull a show together, from sound and lighting technicians to stage managers, costuming and set construction – it’s all up for grabs and collaborating on each production is always a lot of fun!
If you would like more information or want to get involved in future productions please email

Wedmore Women Wheelers is a recently established cycling group catering for women of all ages and cycling abilities.
The group usually meets on a Sunday morning at Heath House crossroads at 10 am. There are often rides on weekdays too. Many members of the group are new to cycling or haven’t cycled for many years. Our rides are led by a club representative and no-one is left behind.
Rides vary in length and are mostly on the gentle terrain of the Somerset Levels. The routes are regularly risk assessed for your safety.
The group usually stops for refreshments and a chat during a ride. We are a friendly group of ladies and look forward to welcoming you on a ride.
