From Wedmore Arts Festival 2019
Thank you!
Thank you to everyone, you our audience, artists, supporters, venues & our hard working volunteers who’ve made this year’s Festival such a success!
We have had excellent feedback from our audiences for the range of events staged this year, in particular our new children’s event with ‘Tallulah Swirls’ (aka Amy Lloyd-Jones) enthralling the youngsters (and accompanying adults who joined in!) with her Puppet Show The Fisherman & The Genie.
Other new departures this year included our discussion with local authors, an insight into the art of detective work and a look behind the scenes of a popular TV programme. Plus of course plenty of music, song and dance! And we were very pleased to see the return of our very own local violin prodigy, Poppy McGhee, displaying her prodigious violin skills with the Somerset Choral society. WAF is very pleased to have been able to support Poppy in her blossoming musical career over the last year.
