Thank you again to everyone for an immense effort again from the Whole Team . In an extremely warm evening our invitational match with Long Sutton Cricket. Our captain Sam won the toss and elected to field first , Long Sutton batters did well. With some good individual efforts from Charlie and Ryan both scoring over 30 , wickets eventually came some great efforts from Nick with his caught and bowled, Isaac bowling setting fielders in the deep paying dividend with a wicket caught by Sergio and Ranger wrapping up the wicket haul of two more.

On such hot evening without the commitment of the whole team to bowling well and fielding the score could have been significantly higher.

In reply we set about the task of reaching their total (307) and our opening Bats did a great job of seeing off the new ball for us to blunt their attack with minimal loss of wickets Well done Ranger and Nathan great effort lads .
Our next pair TJ and Nick followed the same policy of our openers did really good job well done lads with no loss wickets.

Our new batting duo of Isaac and Sergio did a good job with minimal loss of wickets but the game seemed to be getting away from us, when the final pair came to the crease the required runs stood at 65 . This last pairing chase was record breaking for us and they set about reducing the amount over by over with good running between the wickets and impressive batting display. Congratulation to Sam for reaching 63 runs his highest score so far and well supported by James. Sam had what I would call Captain’s Innings well-done.All that remains is say a big thank to the everyone for a great team effort against a good opposition.
