Yes, it’s that time of year again – the Wedmore Arts Festival is almost upon us – and it promises to be a King-sized event!
The Wedmore Arts Society kick off the celebration on Saturday 6 May with an Exhibition of their work in the Masonic Hall. And from then on there’s a full eight days of right royal festivities featuring everything from drama to dance, from strings to brass, and from cycling to farming.
There’s a laughing policeman, some singing sailors (remember them last year? They’re back!), Lord Byron, Lady Churchill, even David Bowie! Exciting young musical talent alongside established photographic wisdom. awe-inspi

Tickets for these events will be selling like hot cakes so if you want to be sure of getting your share, think about joining our Friends scheme. Friends of the Festival are entitled to Priority Online booking from 3 to 10 April (public booking starts on 11 April) in addition to many other benefits. And it costs just £25 a year and you’ll be supporting a great local cause!
