Dear Friends of Allerton CC,

I’m sure you will have seen Boris’ announcement from Monday evening, confirming that lockdown measures will continue for a further four weeks. As such, frustratingly, it will again be necessary to postpone our Lashings event. However, as you will appreciate, the safety of our guests is of paramount importance to us.

We have been in touch with the Lashings team, and are pleased to announce that the event has been rescheduled for Friday 3 September 2021. We hope that you will be able to join us on this new date. Tickets/tables will automatically be moved to the new date.

Allerton Cricket Club is hosting & playing against the Lashings World XI (a team of former international players) on rearranged – to 21 Septem from Friday 9th July at Allerton.

We have already sold 300 tickets for lunch in the marquee and are looking for your support for (1) to promote tickets for gate entrance [we have 200+ tickets to sell], and (2) creating interest for potential sponsors of our match program, and banners etc.

The next Lashings V Allerton CC Squad Announcement is England Fast Bowler – Chris Lewis! England’s all-round hope from the early 90s and star of their run to the 1992 World Cup final, Chris subsequently diversified into what might diplomatically be described, other commercial enterprises, as detailed in his book: “Crazy: My road to redemption,” and the accompanying stage play!
